Back Market provides estimated delivery dates for every item listed on the product details page. Delivery times are calculated based on business days (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays and weekends); orders placed after 1 p.m. have their delivery time calculated from 8 a.m. the following morning. Shoppers will receive a tracking number within 24 hours of placing their order, though shipping times may vary depending on the seller's cutoff time for same-day shipping. During the holiday season and in severe weather conditions, there may be delays in delivery. Larger items may also have longer delivery times.

Back Market offers a 30-day return window for orders, allowing customers to return items to the seller within this timeframe. Returns are free and can be initiated by contacting Back Market. If an item is wrong, defective, missing accessories, or if the customer changes their mind, they can ship it back for free. Customers must report any transit damage within three business days of receiving the item. For returns after the initial 30-day period, a one-year warranty covers hardware defects, starting from the purchase date. The warranty excludes wear and tear, impact damage, liquid damage and any repairs done by unauthorized parties. Customers must factory reset items, remove personal data and SIM cards, and include all accessories before returning. Back Market's cancellation policy allows customers to change their mind within 30 days of receiving an item. If the item hasn't been shipped, customers can log in to their Back Market account and select "Cancel my order" for the unwanted item. If the item has already shipped, customers can refuse the package upon delivery. For items already received, customers can log in to their account, select "Ask for help" next to the relevant order, and specify the reason for the return.

Back Market does not offer a rewards program, but they do have a referral program. For each friend that uses your referral code, they get $10 off their first order and you get $20 in credit.

Back Market shoppers can select Affirm at checkout to pay for their items over time. For qualified customers, Affirm splits the purchase total into four equal payments with no interest fees. The initial payment is due at the time of purchase, and the remaining three payments are made every two weeks.

Student Discount

For eligible students, Back Market offers a student discount of $20 off orders of $250 or more. To verify eligibility, students must provide a school-issued document displaying their name, school name and enrollment dates. Accepted documents include school ID cards, class schedules, tuition receipts, and certificates of enrollment. The verification process is facilitated through SheerID, where students can fill out a form linked on Back Market's Student Discount page, found at the bottom of the website. Once verified, students receive a $20 promo code via email from SheerID, which can be used during checkout.

The promo code is valid for one year from the date of issuance and is nontransferable. Promo codes cannot be retroactively applied to orders already placed. If an order using a student code is canceled or refunded, a new promo code can be requested by contacting the Back Market customer support team.

Military Discount

Back Market extends a 10% military discount to active duty members, reservists, National Guard members, veterans, retirees and their families, redeemable once a year on purchases over $1. To access the discount, individuals must sign up on Back Market and verify their military status through SheerID. Approved customers will receive their unique code instantly. The discount is applicable on all items and is valid for one year from receipt. It cannot be combined with other offers, and terms and conditions apply, including shipping restrictions to certain U.S. locations.
