Alamo Car Rental promo codes & deals

Alamo has been making car rentals easy and affordable for travelers around the world since 1974. With locations in top vacation spots across the United States, Canada, Mexico and beyond, the company is all about low rates and a hassle-free experience. For travelers in a hurry, Alamo even has a cool Accelerated Check-in process that lets you skip the counter and head straight to your car, making your trip start off even smoother. Plus, if you're into collecting miles or rewards points, Alamo's got you covered. It partners with the loyalty programs of several airlines and hotels, so you can keep stacking up rewards while you're on the road.

Alamo's cancelation policy varies based on the payment method you used and the type of reservation you made. If you did not provide a form of payment, such as a credit card, to secure the reservation, there is no cancellation fee. If you booked a guaranteed reservation, you can cancel at least 24 hours before your reservation date for free, while cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a $50 fee. For prepaid Pay Now reservations, the fee is $50 for cancellations at least 24 hours before the reservation date and $100 for cancellations within 24 hours. The same cancellation charges apply as no-show fees if you do not pick up the reservation.

You can join the free Alamo Insider loyalty program to get the best rates on all your rentals, including 5% off base rates of Pay Later reservations. Members can quickly check-in and track their rentals using the Alamo website or app, and they receive exclusive Alamo coupons and offers.

The Alamo Insider program doesn't provide rewards points on rentals. However, Alamo partners with the rewards programs of several airlines and hotels, where you can earn miles or points on your Alamo rentals. When placing your reservation on Alamo, just select the airline or hotel partner you want to use and provide your account number. Alamo's partners include Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta, Frontier, Southwest, Best Western and Hilton, among others.

When booking with Alamo, you can choose to "Book Now, Pay Later." When selecting the Pay Later option, you will be charged once you pick up your reservation. Booking your Pay Later reservation may require you to put a credit or debit card on file. In this case, cancellation fees may apply if you cancel within 24 hours of your reservation date and time. Some Alamo coupons and discounts may not be available on Pay Later reservations.

At its airport locations, Alamo provides special rental rates to U.S. federal government and military personnel traveling on official orders. Eligible customers must verify their status by showing official orders or a government-issued credit card.
