About Halo Collar
About Halo Collar
Halo Collar isn’t your typical pet gadget; it’s a complete GPS fence, training tool, and activity tracker designed by world-famous dog behaviorist Cesar Millan. Instead of traditional fencing, Halo lets you create up to 20 wireless “virtual fences” directly from your phone. If your dog approaches the boundary, the collar sends gentle cues to redirect them, while you receive real-time location tracking.
The idea is freedom with peace of mind: your dog can roam safely while you relax, whether you’re at home or traveling. For multi-dog households, Halo is particularly popular because it pairs safety with training features that keep your pack in sync. Owners often say the investment pays off in reduced stress. No more worrying about escapes or losing sight of your pup. Halo has carved out a niche as one of the leading smart collars because it combines advanced GPS, cellular connectivity, and Cesar Millan’s training philosophy. It’s not just about keeping dogs safe; it’s also about reinforcing healthy behavior and building trust between you and your pet.
Questions shoppers ask about Halo Collar
What is the shipping policy?
Halo ships within the U.S. and provides tracking numbers with every order. Standard orders usually ship within 3 to 5 business days. Shipping fees vary: $19.99 for a new collar kit, $9.99 for accessories, and $19.99 if you’re ordering both together. Unlike many retailers, Halo doesn’t build shipping into the product cost, so it’s good to plan for this fee when budgeting.
What is the return policy?
Halo offers a 90-day return window, which is more generous than many tech brands. If you’re not completely satisfied, you can send the collar back for a refund. There’s a $25 handling fee deducted, and products must be returned in working condition. Pro tip: test the system thoroughly within the first month so you know if it fits your needs before the return window closes.
Does Halo Collar come with a warranty?
Yes, every Halo Collar includes a one-year limited warranty covering manufacturer defects. This starts from the date you link the collar to your subscription. Damage from normal wear and tear, chewing, or accidents isn’t covered. For extra peace of mind, you can add an accident protection plan at checkout, extending coverage for up to three years.
Can I use buy now, pay later?
Halo partners with financing platforms like Shop Pay Installments, allowing you to split the cost into manageable payments (often interest-free). This makes it easier to cover the upfront investment, especially if you’re buying multiple collars or adding subscriptions.
Is there a discount for multiple dogs or households?
Yes, multi-collar discounts are automatic at checkout. Pair those savings with a longer subscription plan, and multi-dog households can save hundreds per year.
Do I need a subscription for the collar to work?
The basic GPS and safety functions require a subscription, since the collar relies on cellular data to communicate with the app. Plans start at around $9.99/month, but longer commitments bring the cost down. Without a plan, you won’t have access to key features like real-time tracking or custom fence creation.
